“You” - a love poem
“You.
You taste of a Salty Sea Breeze
and a solitary Sea Rose
Holding steadfast to the Cliff’s Edge,
Way way up on high
A moment of magic
That is scarcely ever seen
knives and forks
knives and forks
I will wait for
You
You
On the Other side of the Shore
Where the Sea greedily Licks the Sand
Playfully pleading for those mighty Bodies of Granite to Dance
To the Grandest of Songs
knives and forks
knives and forks
I will wait for
You
Book in hand
Quill and ink at the ready,
Poetry dripping from the tip
of my Tongue
And Magic in my Fingertips
For You
I will wait
I will wait
For You.”
